It's all in the jeans!

I'm a huge fan of denim.  It's so comfortable, stylish and practical - you can wear it just about anywhere!  but we are all different shapes ans sizes and not every cut will work on every body - and i want you to all look and feel your best, even if you are just at the grocery store.

Here's a breakout of best brands and looks for each and every body

Curvy - this is if you have a smaller waist and bigger hips and thighs but you are in proportion with your chest. This hourglass, like Kim Kardashian You want to keep the look feminine, so think about pairing your jeans with a blouse, a tailored jacket or a belted top, nothing too loose or baggy. Love the bright red top, the hip hugging denim and simple silver jewelry.

Denizen by Levi's is basically a modern bootcut with some stretch to hug the curves.I personally love the Dita Petite jean by Citizens of Humanity

Black Orchid by Julien Jarmoune are great skinny jeans with stretch, they fit almost like a legging.  Skinny jeans will show off those curves and I love them with high heels for a sexy look or boots for a mommy on the go look. I also love the rockstar skinny jean by Old Navy

Boyish - if you are straight up and down, skinnies are great for you just mix them up with different tops, shoes and  accessories and you can go anywhere! think Kate Middleton

Your best bets:
DL1961 Amanda Skinny
Mother the Rascal straight jean

Pair your skinnies with a jacket, sweater or even a great leather peplum top.  Look for any top that will give you a waist and a feminine shape. I love the image above of Princess Kate in the blazer, skinnies and classic white shirt with heels.

Tall - If you are 5'9" and over shopping for women's pants can be very challenging but look for brands that cut a bit longer.  Think Cameron Diaz - she's easy breezy California chic but keeps it streamlined and stylish in a layered look of grey on grey, heels and low maintenance hair and make up.

The mid rise slim bootcut jean by J Brand
Bootcut jeans by 7 for all Mankind

Plus - curves and a size 14 and up, you've got plenty of options too and yes, you can wear a skinny style jean, it's all about fit. Think Amber Riley - I love how she is embracing her curves in a skinny jeans with some character, knee high boots and a classic combo of black and white.  Everything fits just right and just a bit of jewelry and fabulous make up it is so chic and polished

The Tummy trimmer jean at Old Navy keeps everything in tact and it looks great for work or play
the skinny Bootcut in Nitewash goes us to a size 38
The Genius fit at Lane Bryant comes in tall and petite and a variety of washes, it looks hot and is comfortable, too

Keeping denim casual:
- look for slouchy boyfriend cuts, skinnies or wide leg cuts and go with a more "lived in" wash.
- pair denim with basic tee shirts, plaid shirts or a leather jacket for a stylish yet casual look

Sexy denim look:
- look for skinnies, bootcut or flare leg with 1 or 2% stretch, stick with washes in black, medium or dark blue for a sleek and sexy look
- pair with animal print, black, or bling tops that make a statement - don't forget the make up, jewelry and heels!

Polished Denim look:
- Perfect for casual Friday (or everyday, depending on where you work)
- Rock some coloured denim in deep red, deep green, grey or teal and pair it with neutral top and shoes
- Go tailored with a blazer or jacket in a texture like tweed

Care tips for your denim:
- most jeans only need to be washed after every 4-5 wears, wash them inside out in cold water to keep the rinse deep
- to help jeans last air dry them and make sure to hang them, avoid the dryer, the heat can really wear down the fibers Folding can give them a crease that would only be removed by ironing.  Skinnies can be folded, the crease disappears once you put them on
