- Black and white: is always popular this time of year when it's not quite hot and sunny and you aren't exactly beach ready. So look for tee shirts, blouses, jackets in black and white combined. Even a scarf will make you feel on trend. Such an easy combination, it's classic and easy to do and can go anywhere with you!

- Colour! You will see it everywhere - jeans, accessories, print and pattern and it is bold! You can tone up this trend or keep it toned down but colour is huge this spring. My favourites are bold blue and bright yellow

- Prints: big, bold, mixing, floral, graphic .... you will be seeing lots of prints in dresses, blouses, pants, skirts, jackets basically everything. If you love prints and want to mix them remember one needs to be the standout and the other takes a backseat, big and bold prints together make you look crazy and that's not on trend.

- Big jewellery - bracelets, necklaces, rings and even brooches. Bling it big and it's not just for evening or cocktails. We are seeing it this spring paired up with blazers, demin and tshirts it really make a statement. And this season in jewellery we are seeing just about everything - big, bold, bling, colour, floral you name it.

- the peplum. so flattering and so feminine, works with a pencil skirt, jeans, trousers you name it. A flirty look but still professional enough to wear to work and can easily go from day to night. a great way to balance out a bust and/or hips. I love a peplum with a pencil skirt, sexy heels and some wow jewellery for a special date night out.
- Nude with edge. We will still see lots of nude handbags and shoes this season and there are a classic and economical purchase so don't be afraid to splurge. They transition easily from one season to the next and they are so flattering because they elongate the leg. Plus they are totally timeless. But this season will show nude with some edge or bling maybe a snake skin accents or some spikes.

- mixing feminine and masculine. So we have seen this in the past and i wouldn't necessarily say it's a trend but we are seeing more of this. Mixing a feminine dress with a masculine leather jacket. Or a soft silk blouse with a tough military inspired coat. Or a pastel pink motorcycle jacket.

It' s hard to be fashion relevant and a mom, it really is. So i suggest picking a few pieces or trends and sticking with those along with your staples and you will look great. Personally, I added some black and white pieces to make wardrobe to wear with my jeans and leather jacket. i also added some floral print to wear with my military jacket I have owned for a few years now (such an easy piece to wear when running errands or going places with the kids). I've also added jewellery to my wardrobe - I never did that before and it totally updates my wardrobe!
